HSBC Awards SBCS $50,000 Grant

December 5, 2008

Chula Vista, CA - South Bay Community Services received a $50,000 grant from HSBC to conduct a financial education program.  Within the next year, SBCS will present a three-class financial education course to 90 individuals. The course will cover: money management; banking, credit scores, and identity theft.  Participants will be given assistance to open bank accounts even if they have been denied banking privileges due to past negative banking behavior.  Participants will be eligible for financial incentives.
