Many of the youth we serve do not have the means to participate in after-school activities or formal sports leagues or clubs. Since 2007, SBCS in partnership with Sweetwater Unified School District has been providing students a safe place for when school is over and an atmosphere where students can engage in activities that benefit their academics and overall physical and mental health.
SBCS After-School also provides an array of programs for the whole family. We know that home stressors can affect a student's academics and achievement. Therefore, SBCS After-School also serves as a platform for linking youth and families to additional resources available at SBCS to help the WHOLE family.
Tennis shoes, sports equipment, volunteer support and other items are always of great need. Please contact Liz Ramirez at (619) 420-3620 to learn how you can support students on these campuses.
