Annual Thunderboats Event Supports Foster Youth

Thousands were raised for foster youth on Sunday, Sept. 16, for the annual Thunderboat Sunday VIP event! This annual event treats guests to a very VIP event right along the bay to watch fastest powerboats in the world. This exclusive view includes lunch, beverages and chance to bid on a large selection of silent auction items.

thunderboats crew All proceeds from the event benefit former foster youth served by South Bay Community Services, YMCA Youth & Family Services and San Diego Youth & Community Services. The afternoon concludes with a special recognition to an Outstanding Foster Youth presented by San Diego County Supervisor Greg Cox.

A special thanks to Fran Muncey of The Galley At The Marina in Chula Vista and Thunderboats Unlimited who hosts the event and helps to make the dreams of our foster youth possible!
